Caw Caw Interpretive Center & Highfalutin Coffee

This is a really neat place to visit and we can search for the swamp rainbow (CHS Today)

It's officially "rainbow swamp" season at the Caw Caw Interpretive Center with one of our first sightings yesterday!🌈

This happens when tannins from decomposing plant material create a prismatic residue on the surface of cypress swamps. The best chance to see rainbow effect is on sunny winter days!

This is about 25 minutes from downtown Charleston.

It's a county park, so if you have a pass it's free, if not it's a $2 entry fee.

This is where we are headed to get coffee after the walk.
