Steel Band Concert

Bring your blanket, lawn chairs, family, and friends, and join us as Steel Passion performs on the front lawn of the Main Library - weather permitting.
Steel Passion is an all-steel band with a big sound. While the music has an island cadence, the band’s repertoire is global, ranging from calypso and reggae to pop to jazz to classical and liturgical. Steel Passion, The Steel Band of Christ Episcopal Church, continues a tradition of serving the River communities of the Hudson Valley dating back to 1965, and in its present configuration since 1991. They have performed at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, NYC; The Music Hall, Tarrytown NY; The Knickerbocker Club, NYC; Washington Irving Boat Club, Tarrytown, NY; Pete Seeger’s University Settlement Camp, Beacon NY; and Tarrytown Halloween Parade, Tarrytown, NY, among many others.
In the case of inclement weather, the band will perform downstairs in the Library.
