RED Ride Rowberrow Warren

Details

The ride will be based around the official trails at Rowberrow Warren. These are long established natural trails which were recently made official and are now maintained by volunteers. Most of the downhill sections are single track with fire roads providing the route back up the hill. Although some trails have been graded as blue, I would consider the ride as a whole to be red. There will also be some tough climbs which we will do multiple times. A good degree of confidence on a mountain bike and a decent level of fitness will therefore be required.

Meet at the car park at 13:00 on the B3134 (The Coombe, highlighted on the map below) ready to ride. Expect to be out for around 3 - 4 hours.

You should have a bike in good mechanical order. This ride is not suitable for anything other than a proper mountain bike - no hybrids or gravel bikes. Full suspension highly recommended! As usual, bring your helmet, some tools and spares for your bike, and drink and snacks to get you around. RSVP if you fancy it - but please give as much notice if you cannot make it. It is important to understand that all riders must be responsible for their own health, safety and well being as well as being prepared for dealing with typical situations such as changes in weather, mechanical problems, flat tyres, etc. Mountain Biking is challenging and not free of risk.

This group cannot be deemed responsible for the exacerbation of any medical condition as well as any crash or accidents that might occur during our rides.
