Ashton Court and Leigh Woods Loops

Details
This will be a ride around Ashton Court and Leigh Woods at a steady pace. This route is graded blue (intermediate) although it's fairly easy if taken carefully. The intention is to stick to the official man-made trails which are suitable for beginners. This is an opportunity for those without much off-road cycling experience to ride with others. A certain degree of fitness will be required - although there are no great climbs we will be going at a modest pace.
Ready to ride from the Golf Hut/Cafe in the car park at 10:30, expect to be out for around 2hrs.
You should have a bike in good mechanical order. This ride can be done on a gravel or hybrid with suitable tyres, but you'll find the ride much more comfortable on a proper mountain bike. Bring your helmet, some tools and spares for your bike, and drink and snacks to get you around. RSVP if you fancy it, but please give as much notice if you cannot make it. It is important to understand that all riders must be responsible for their own health, safety and well being as well as being prepared for dealing with typical situations such as changes in weather, mechanical problems, flat tyres, etc. Mountain Biking is challenging and not free of risk.
The car park is pay and display - cost is £4 for the for 5 hours & £2.50 for 2 hours.
Bikes and other equipment can also be hired at Pedal Progression in the car park area.
This group cannot be deemed responsible for the exacerbation of any medical condition as well as any crash or accidents that might occur during our rides
