Six to seven miles in the Pickall section with 600 feet of climb.

Details
This hike will be 6 - 7 miles with about 600 feet of climb. We'll aim for a walking speed of 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 mph. Sections of the trails are rocky and rooty and there are at least two streams to cross, one twice. Be prepared for mud. There is one steep descent and some rather long ascents. There is no fee where we'll be parking.
Please don't sign up for this hike unless you have recently completed a hike of this level of difficulty. Our mother club (see mcomd.org) offers multiple hikes of varying difficulty each week that may better fit your needs.
******The forecast is a bit iffy at the moment so if the forecast worsens the hike may be cancelled. Watch your email and the website for updates.******
We'll have a snack/water break mid-hike and an optional brown bag lunch trailside after the hike. Bring a chair for comfort.
