This is a ride call for the Barton Creek Greenbelt back-country. This is NOT a beginner-level ride in any way.

Several miles of the route require some good technical riding skill to negotiate safely. They are very chunky/rocky like Lake Georgetown, only much worse. There will also be some steep extended climbs, exposed drops on the sides of the trail, and many large ledges and drops in the middle of it all. Intermediates are more than welcome to come out, but ride at your own risk.

The pace will be intermediate with some stops. This ride is more about clearing terrain features than hammering the tempo.

It is a self-drop ride. Bring everything you need to be self-sufficient. Bring at least two inner tubes and some duct-tape for tire repairs just in case. A few miles of this route will be tire-shredding chunk. If you show up on a full-rigid single speed, you will have an unhappy time unless your name is James Cobb.

Helmet and hydration are of course required as is a durable well-tuned mountain bike.

Please read the following rules on group ride etiquette prior to attending:

The ride will be a couple to several hours long over 15-20 miles distance.
