The Goodwater Trail is the second-longest public continuous singletrack loop open to mountain biking in Texas, surpassed only by the state’s other IMBA Epic in Big Bend State Park!
The Goodwater Trail at Lake Georgetown consists of 25+ miles of trail. The trail runs around the shoreline of the lake and has trailheads at all five parks. The trail consists of easy double track with little elevation change to rocky, technical and sometimes tight single track with lake views, cacti, and even a switchback. Parking at Tejas and Russell Parks is free as long as you don’t ride past the gatehouse.
All mountain bikers are welcome, we will select ride leaders an break into groups based on skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), pace (fast, casual, slow), and distance (short, medium, or long ride).
Do you know the trail? Like to have people following you? We need Ride Leaders! Post up here or contact Geo if you can volunteer to lead a group on the trial.
This is a No Drop ride so no one gets left behind or lost, we will get you back to the trail head for the after party.
Remember to bring your helmet and plenty of water. Everyone is also invited to bring a dish to share after the ride: i.e. cookies, chips, dips, salads, fruit, drinks, etc.
If anyone would like to carpool post a comment here to pair up.
To ride with the ARR you must sign a waiver, but you can save time at the beginning of the ride by printing it out and signing it at home, then bring it to the ride and drop it off with Geo before we get started:
