ARR October Club Ride @ Barton Creek Greenbelt 360 Entrance
Hosted by Austin Ridge Riders Mountain Bike Club
Details
Come ride with the Austin Ridge Riders!
Where: Barton Creek Greenbelt - 360 Entrance
When: Saturday October 10, 9:30am arrival, 10:00am wheels down.
Note this meetup was originally posted for the Zilker entrance, but due to ACL this weekend we are meeting at the 360 Entrance instead (map linked above, it's down the hill from Toys R Us).
The Barton Creek Greenbelt, also called the crown jewel of Austin trails is located right in the heart of town. This is the trail where many of us learned to ride. From the relatively easy route down the main trail to the Hill Of Life and Dam, to the technical side trails all through the Greenbelt this trail has something for everyone.
Riders will break into groups based on skill level, length of ride and whether one wants to rip up the trails or ride at a social pace and smell the flowers. The usual "No Drop" policy will be in effect so that no one gets left behind or lost. Bring plenty of water and don't forget your helmet!!
Beginners are welcome, we will lead a beginner group on the main trail to the Hill of Life & Dam, maybe down the new Violet Crown Trail, intermediates will head up the side trails.
Those that stick around after the ride are welcome to join us up the hill at The Park for after ride refreshments (note you are responsible for your own food and drinks, the ARR isn't buying).
You do NOT have to be an ARR member to attend the club ride.
We do encourage you to join though, it’s only $30/year that goes toward trail development and mountain bike evangelism in and around Austin.
