Pedernales Falls State Park TRAIL BUILD & RIDE!

BRING YOUR PAYDIRT FORMS! http://www.tmbra.org/paydirt/paydirt.htm

The completed sections of the new trail were a hit at the 2014 Cranksgiving! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! 5+ miles of trail are still under development!

These sections, not yet open to the public, have lots of elevation changes, G-outs and winding flowy features.

NO TRAIL BUILDING EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Austin Ridge Riders will provide tools & guidance for volunteers, as well as Lunch and prizes to volunteers after the build. Volunteers get into the park for free on trail building days.

MEET PROMPTLY AT THE TIME SHOWN ABOVE at the Park Headquarters as it will be difficult to find us once we head to the trail.

After meeting up, we will drive to a staging area. At the staging area we will go over the build plan, methods, tools and safety procedures before hiking to the build area.

Wear sturdy shoes and bring gloves if you have them. We have extra gloves for those who need them. Bring your hydration pack or water container to carry with you.

Bring your bike if you want to try out the new trail after lunch!

We lots of large and small stumps to remove, some cut brush to drag further into the woods and some major rock work and bench cutting and shaping in the mix.

If it's been a long time since you have built trail, or if you have never built trail, please give it a try. It's very rewarding to see a new trail take shape that will be enjoyed by riders for generations.

Miles of trail that just needs fine tuning to be able to open up soon with enough people pitching in.
