FR512 Trail Work & Pay Dirt at Rocky Hill Ranch
Details
If you haven't heard, FR512 is building new trails at Rocky Hill Ranch! Freeride512 builds and rides progressive mountain bike trails and features in and around Central Texas. We educate mountain bikers on the disciplines of all-mountain, downhill, and freeride mountain biking and help riders to progress their skills.
We are currently building a competitive pump track inspired by Crankwork Rotorua 2015 (Check it out here!) (http://www.crankworx.com/videos/217), as well as beginner, intermediate, and advanced jump lines. There will also be a slope style line, "Morning Wood" and - for those who've always wanted to hit slope style features, but didn't know where to start, we will be building "Little Big Dong," a smaller version of the big line!
We will meet by the main pavilion Saturday at 11 AM for a tour of the new lines-to-be and then caravan up to the quarry area to shape and pack dirt features. Camp out and BBQ if weather is good. Non- FR512 members must sign a FR512 waiver before working on FR512 trails.
If you have tools, bring them. Otherwise we have extras on hand. Cordless drills, ladders, shovels, rakes, picks, dig bars, post diggers etc. Please feel free to PM Dale if you need a contact #. Some of us will be bringing bikes to test speeds and sesh afterwards. More info on FR512 may be found at https://www.facebook.com/Freeride512?fref=ts and at http://www.freeride512.com (http://www.freeride512.com/Freeride512/Fr512_Home.html).
If you intend to ride RHR's cross-country trails please make sure to take care of their paper work and fee at the main pavilion first.
Note: If you arrive late, please use the back gate. From RHR main entrance exit left onto 153. 153 will turn into 2104. Make a left onto Arrowhead Dr. Continue down Arrowhead to the back entrance of RHR. The crew will be working in the quarry near the gate.
Please see Dale to sign off on your PayDirt.
