CAN’d Aid building 63 bikes for kindergarteners
Details
Here is an opportunity to help get kids on bikes at the Elementary School that serves the area just north of St. John's Ave:
CAN’d Aid will be building 63 bikes for all kindergarteners at TA Brown Elementary on 4/20. We’ll be at Oskar Blues Brewery (10420 Metric Blvd.) from 10:45am-12:45pm and are in need of some volunteers to help with the bike build! Ideally, we’ll rally a group of 10-20 volunteers for the day. We will have all of the tools and supplies needed, as well as a bike lead who will teach everyone everything they need to know to ensure that the bikes are put together correctly.
Can you send this info out to your group of Ridge Riders to see if anyone would be willing to help lend a hand? People do not need to feel obligated to stay the entire time either. They are, however, more than welcome to ride over to the school at 1pm to present the bikes to the kids. We’ll be there from 1-3pm fitting each child’s bike and Jeff Lanosky will do a quick bike demo and talk about bike safety.
Oh, and if anyone in your group has an air compressor that they could provide for the day, that would be greatly appreciated as well!
Thanks in advance for your help,
Sarah
