Pace Bend falls somewhere between Walnut Creek and Barton Creek in terms of difficulty. It definitely earns its intermediate-level rating, but it also has much better flow than any of the Austin city trails. The technical obstacles mostly consist of intermediate-level ledges, a few advanced obstacles (ledges, transitions, and one optional long rock garden), a few wood features, creek crossings, etc. These obstacles tend to be spaced far enough apart that you can get a running start on most of them, and most of the trail in between is flowy and fun.

I'm a technical rider and typically clean everything at Pace Bend when I'm in good shape, but at the moment, I am not riding particularly fast, so I'll be making some stops to gasp for air and/or to session the various obstacles. This will be a good ride for experienced riders who, like me, are looking to improve their stamina or work on technical skills. This is a no-drop ride (within reason. There are several bailout points if you're really struggling.) Walk whatever you don't feel like riding.

We'll do one no-drop lap (8 miles) as a group, then I may do a second lap at a faster pace.

Event will be canceled if there is rain in the area or the trails are still wet from a previous rain.
