We will be filling in the trail tread where it has worn away. We started this work in the fall and didn't get it all done it that one work day. We will be using our trucks to move dirt from one side of the preserve to the other side where the trail is badly cupped. I will be looking for a few pick ups that don't mind hauling dirt across the 'dirt roads'.
Meeting at 9:00 AM at the the parking lot. After 9:00 we will be closing the trail (gate). The trail will open again at ~1:00 so we need to clear out by then.
If we have enough volunteers, we will send group(s) out to clear face slappers from the trails.
Wear long pants and sturdy boots and bring water (camelbak or water bottle). Bring work gloves if you have them. ARR will be providing tools (shovels, picks, wheel barrows, loppers, saws, etc) but if you have your own, feel free to bring them. To get credit for pay dirt, you need to download and fill out the form http://www.austinridgeriders.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/paydirtform.pdfhere. You can get ahead of next years Pay Dirt starting now.
