In Partnership with Gallant Wind Guiding, the Mountaineering Club of New York offers this 3-day Mount Baker North Ridge climb.

The North Ridge of Mount Baker (10,781 ft) is a demanding Cascade classic, listed among the 50 Classic Climbs of North America. Expect crevassed glaciers, steep alpine ice, and sustained climbing on one of the most striking ridge lines in the Northwest.

This is for experienced climbers only. You must have ice climbing experience and be able to follow WI2 comfortably.

🏔️ WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
On this 3-day guided climb, you’ll tackle steep snow, multiple ice pitches (up to 60°), and summit one of Washington’s most iconic volcanoes. You will learn and refine steep snow and technical alpine ice travel, ice axe use & crampon movement, navigation & rope-team travel and backcountry campcraft.

Plus: MCNY will host training hikes and crevasse rescue training beforehand to help you feel fully prepared
