OnShape 3D Design for Beginners

This hands-on class will teach you everything you need to know to get started with Onshape, a free browser-based CAD professional program. You'll learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling, creating assemblies of multiple parts into a working model, and how to design for manufacturability. By the end of the session, you'll have the skills to design your own parts for 3D printing, laser cutting, or CNC machining right here at the makerspace.
No prior CAD experience is necessary. Bring a laptop (or borrow one of ours), and we’ll teach you the rest. We'll work through a simple guided project together, so you leave with a real file you can take into the shop and start creating immediately. This class is a great starting point for anyone curious about product design, mechanical engineering, or just wanting to bring their own ideas to life using our tools.
