Location - Lake Overstreet Trailhead (Forest Meadows Parking Lot). 4750 North Meridian Road
This is a perfect way to start your weekend with a beautiful outdoor walk in nature. It’s getting warm, so we have picked a cool shaded path. You will also have three distance options to choose from while on the beautiful Lake Overstreet Trail
This event offers 3 options: a 2-mile easy loop, a 4-mile walk (two loops), or a 5.5-mile scenic route around the pristine Lake Overstreet (slightly hilly with a few roots). This route will be led by Jerry Osteryoung,
Description –
Note – there is a $2.00 cash entrance fee unless you have a Florida Parks Pass. The first option is an approximate 2-mile fairly level terrain loop that comes back to the entrance. You can also plan to walk this loop twice for 4 miles. Or, you can join Jerry Osteryoung, leading the 5.5-mile group. It is not unusual to see deer and other wildlife on this walk.
