[Trial Run] LifeTime Fitness - Tempe - Pickleball RockClimb

Details

Read the details closely!

This is what I'm dubbing as a [Trial Run] [Experimental] kind of event

LifeTime Fitness Tempe seems to have cool facilities, a rock climbing gym, outdoor pickleball courts, indoor pool, etc, and I'm curious to find ways to get a group to go check it out

I'm currently not a member there.

For this event in order to be able to go, I'm looking for ppl who either

  1. already have an existing LifeTime membership
  2. is someone who is able to get a Guest Pass to be able to join in, which means having some other current LifeTime member be able to add you in in-person
  3. later, if we decide to do this more often after this trial event, I would also be looking for ppl who would be interested to become a LifeTime member, to either join in and/or optionally invite other fam and friends to join in on the fun with any of your unused Guest Passes

either way, all ppl joining must first download the LifeTime App

The way Guest Passes look to work:
Lifetime Members get 4 guest passes a month, that renew on the 1st. It's use it or lose it. However, once someone uses a Guest Pass, that same person cannot use a Guest Pass again for 60days. Need the app, and the existing member needs to bring the guests in in-person. The guest needs to present an official govt issued photo ID like driver's license

For this particular event,
This is a trial run. I'm toying with the idea that it could be fun to get a group to check out these facilities and enjoy primarily their outdoor pickleball courts and rock climbing area, though they also have classes, standard gym, pools, etc

in order to accomplish this, I am considering maybe subscribing to the gym for a month in July ($180/mo though, so it is on the pricier end). However, this first event here is a trial run. I haven't committed to becoming a member yet, and therefore, I wouldn't encourage others to do so (with the expectation of more events from me) just yet, until after this Trial Run is first completed.

For now, I'm just gauging interest. Am I the only one who wants to do this, or would there be more ppl willing to do it and potentially become members? If so, how many? A few? 20?

Are the facilities worth creating Meetup events to try going 1-2x a week for 4 weeks in a group setting? These are some questions I will want to answer during this trial run.

If you have interest, chime in on the comments. Because I can't just let ppl in unless they satisfy one of the 3 conditions, I will start everyone by default in Waiting list. Sign up if you have interest to attend, and comment with whether you are currently a member, if you have Guest Passes to offer others and how many, or if you can get a Guest Pass + that person to let you in in-person, etc. If you meet a condition, I can mark you as Going. If not, may have to just wait and see if we decide to go beyond this first event.

Some ppl might only want to attend once, and not multiple times. If so, then a one-off Guest Pass may be workable. After this trial run, we can discuss whether we want to do it more often and if ppl want to sign up and become members

So. If you aren't already a Lifetime member just yet, I wouldn't recommend signing up just to attend this trial run event,

bc it's quite possible the group might not continue it past this first event.

But if things go well, maybe for the month of July, we might try a month as a group. At that point, then we can hash out the details of who wants to sign up, and who might just be interested in a one time visit via potential Guest Pass from a friend

hopefully not too confusing! It's a bit nuanced. But feel free to message me if any questions. I expect this first group will be small due to our currently limited membership. But maybe I'll be surprised, if there's a lot of ppl here who just so happen to also already be Lifetime members

PLAN
that said, for this trial run, tentative plan is:

9am-11am outdoor pickleball
11am-11:30am roam and check out facilities
11:30-1:30pm rock climb
1:30-3:00pm lunch from someplace in the area, maybe Ikea cafeteria

I myself am eh beginner-intermediate at pickleball, and not great at rock climbing. But, if I decide to get the membership, thinking it could be fun to try to spend some focused time getting better at rock climbing, and really honing in on trying to get better at exercising or make it more a habit. And if I could do that in a group or with friends, that'd be more fun way to do it
