ASL Sign Language basics - practice session @ Wendy's
Details
No experience necessary.
I myself am hard of hearing, and know others who are the same. I'm a beginner/~intermediate level in ASL (American Sign Language), and want to get better at it, so here's an unofficial practice session to set aside time for myself and others who have interest to want to learn some sign. Part of it learning the vocab/signs, and then another part is learning to recognize signs by seeing it repeatedly in conversation. Like all things, it's a skill that just takes practice/repetition/investment in to get better. I have some sign vocab books and flashcards we can use for practice as well
If you have no knowledge, I'd recommend going to youtube and learning some of the basics, like abc's, question words, etc. I get that sometimes it's easier to meet/see it in-person though. Here's a simple site that has digital randomized ASL flashcards, as well as links to other resources to help you practice.
