Has capitalist economic expansion ended?

Global capitalism is crisis. Is this just another cyclical crisis, or has capitalism reached the limits of economic expansion? Rosa Luxemburg in The Accumulation of Capital in 1913 showed that capitalist expansion could not continue indefinitely, and would lead humanity into barbarism if not superseded by socialism. Have we reached this point now, or can changes in capitalist policy still allow for economic expansion? Is Luxemburg’s analysis valid today?
