As we live in changing times… perhaps even times of seeming chaos, Cormac McCarthy’s work No Country for Old Men provides some story and context for some interesting philosophical discussion about culture, violence, greed and duty.

Cohen Brothers shot this movie in Maria Texas, as a Western movie, but within a post modern context that allows interesting perspectives.

We will have coffee, cookies, bring your favorite snacks.

Though the event is hosted inside a church, this is not a religious event, people of all backgrounds are welcome and appreciated.

What to bring:
Just yourself. Feel free to bring your fav movie snacks, if you want to.

Location: Inside First Presbyterian Church, in the room LC080, at 4 pm

Parking: North Parking Lot - 5220 Travis St, Houston, TX 77002
Directions: After parking Walk along Oakdale (on the double-pavement), towards the Presbyterian School. You will come to you come to Lancaster Center (on your left) as Oakdale turns the corner. Enter the building door, use the intercom to have security grant access. There will be signs to direct to room #LC080 will be the basement to the right (we will also have directions posted there).
