Movie Night: Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
Details
Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair unites Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single, unrated epic – presented exactly as he intended, complete with a new, never-before-seen anime sequence.
A bit of background: Tarantino first debuted Kill Bill as a single film at Cannes in 2006 but split it into two volumes for theatrical release. He has screened the Cannes print on several occasions since then at the New Beverly Cinema and the Vista Theater in LA (which he owns). None of these showings contained the new anime sequence though so this will be the first chance to see it as Tarantino intended.
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair clocks in at 4 hours and 41 minutes, including a 10-15 minute intermission. I'll be in seat C6. Just a heads up that this is not eligible for AMC A-List if you have it. As of 11/30, the showing seems to be about 50% full so buy soon if you're going to join!
In addition, I plan to be at Atlas at 5:30 in case anyone wants to grab a beer before the movie.
