• Director Mike P. Nelson used a number of practical techniques for the snake, such as dragging a massive piece of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) through the jungle to simulate weighted movement and using giant printouts of the snake's head for eye line.
• Actors Jessica Rothe and Kiana Madeira had to react to a terrifying giant predator that was largely added in post-production, forcing them to rely heavily on imagination while filming in the Colombian Amazon rainforest.
• The lead trio—Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira, and Logan Marshall-Green—brings extensive horror and sci-fi survival experience from projects like Happy Death Day, Upgrade, and Prometheus.
