Children of Men (35mm print) at Como

Join us at The Revival House cinema in Como for the near-future thriller Children of Men. Ranked among IMDb's top 300 English language films, it's been widely praised for working on every level - a gripping chase thriller, a sophisticated human drama, and an intelligent cautionary tale. The fantastic cast includes Clive Owen, Michael Caine, and Julianne Moore. On 35mm it looks better than 4K, and paired with cinema sound it's the only way to watch this classic.

We'll meet in the lobby from 7:00pm, and we'll head in to grab seats around 7:30pm for the film at 7:45pm. After the film you're invited to come upstairs to check out the projection room.

The Revival House is Perth's only celluloid revival house cinema (a cinema that specialises in showing classic films). All films are screened on 35mm or 16mm film prints. Their home is the Art Deco, heritage listed Como Theatre built in 1938. It's a great cinema that has attracted a community of film lovers.

In 2027, when infertility threatens mankind with extinction and the last child was born 18 years ago, a disillusioned bureaucrat (Clive Owen) agrees to assist in the clandestine transport of a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child's birth may help scientists save the future of humankind.
