The Salt of Life (Gianni e le donne)

Details
Did you see "Mid-August Lunch" last year? For me (and others in my general age group), it was hilarious ... about the trials and tribulations of taking care of aging parents (particularly moms). Now there is a sequel! Here's a description of The Salt of Life (http://theaters.pittsburgharts.org/salt-life) from the Filmmakers:
In his warm and witty follow-up to last year’s sleeper hit Mid-August Lunch, writer-director-actor Gianni Di Gregorio has created another sparkling comic ode to the ladies in his life – but this time he plays a middle-aged retiree who feels invisible. He must contend with an aristocratic, spendthrift mother (Lunch’s Valeria De Franciscis); a wife who is more patronizing friend than romantic partner; a daughter with a slacker boyfriend; and a wild young neighbor who sees him merely as a dog walker. Watching his “codger” friends snare beautiful younger women on the sun-kissed cobblestones of Trastevere, Gianni tries his hilarious best to generate some kind of extracurricular love life. (Gianni Di Gregorio; Italy; 2011; 90 min).
This film is part of the 3 Rivers Film Festival.
