What we’re about
Welcome to Moving Conversations – a group for people who crave deeper dialogue, authentic connection, and open-minded exploration of big ideas. In a world that often feels polarized and disconnected, this group is about slowing down, stepping outside, and walking our way into better understanding—of ourselves, of each other, and of the world we live in.
We believe that conversations move us—emotionally, intellectually, and relationally. And when we literally move together—through walking, hiking, or gentle jogging—something shifts. Our minds open. We listen more deeply. We connect more fully.
This is a space for respectful, thoughtful dialogue around meaningful topics: identity, purpose, justice, grief, joy, change, belonging, and more. All viewpoints are welcome, as long as they are shared with curiosity, humility, and care.
Let’s walk, talk, and grow—together.
About the Organizer
Hi, I’m Arianne — I’m really glad you’re here. I started Moving Conversations because I believe that some of the best connections happen when we’re walking and talking, especially about the things that really matter.
I have a background in communication, with two degrees in the field, and I’ve spent a lot of time working in diversity, equity, and inclusion — including Intergroup Dialogue training and leading conversations across differences. I used to teach communication courses like Interviewing, Negotiation, and Business & Professional Communication at Villanova University, and these days I work remotely as a Product Manager for a startup.
While I love the flexibility of remote work, I miss having meaningful conversations with people in person. In my free time, you can usually find me outside — hiking, biking, or just soaking up nature — so this group is a way to combine a few of my favorite things: good people, thoughtful dialogue, and movement in the outdoors. I’m looking forward to the conversations we’ll have together!
