JOHN BRYAN STATE PARK MOUNTAIN BIKING + CAMPING
We’re getting a group together for a spring kickoff ride and campout at John Bryan State Park near Yellow Springs, Ohio. This park has some of the best beginner‑friendly to intermediate singletrack in the region, with fast flow, tight turns, and a few rocky features to keep things interesting. If you’ve been waiting for a good early‑season ride, this is it.

TIME: Meet at noon on Sunday
LOCATION: John Bryan State Park, Yellow Springs, OH
ACTIVITIES: Mountain biking + optional camping at the park campground
LIABILITY WAIVER: Click Here

MOUNTAIN BIKING DETAILS:
John Bryan offers roughly 12 miles of well‑maintained singletrack built and managed by the Miami Valley Mountain Bike Association. Trails are mostly fast and smooth with short climbs, quick descents, and a mix of open woods and tight technical sections. Expect:
– Flow sections with good speed
– Rooty and rocky patches in the mid‑park loops
– A few optional features and small drops
– Trails suitable for newer riders but fun for experienced riders too
– Good drainage, but early spring can still mean soft spots
We’ll start with a warm‑up loop and then decide as a group how many miles we want to put in. Pace will be social and conversational.

CAMPING:
The John Bryan campground is a short drive from the trailhead. Sites are wooded, quiet, and close to restrooms and water. Bring your usual camping gear, warm layers, and whatever you want for dinner around the fire. If you’re not camping, you’re still welcome to join for the ride.
We are staying on John Bryan Campground - Campsite Electric - 33 Friday and Saturday evenings.

WHAT TO BRING:
– Mountain bike in good working order
– Helmet required
– Water, snacks, and layers
– Camping gear if staying overnight
– Lights if you want to hang out after dark
– Positive attitude and readiness for early‑season trail conditions

NOTES:
– Weather can shift quickly this time of year; we’ll adjust plans if needed.
– Trails may close if conditions are too soft; if that happens, we’ll pivot to nearby options like the Glen Helen paths or the paved Little Miami Trail for a casual ride.
Looking forward to a great early‑season meetup with friends. Let me know if you’re coming so we can plan campsite space and group pacing.
