About us

We are the London club of Mindful Peace International — a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the wisdom of Buddhist Dharma and Chan (Zen)-inspired living in a modern world.
🌿 What we do
We host free online and in-person sessions in London and worldwide. It offers a calm and supportive space for anyone seeking greater inner peace, clarity, and well-being. We read and discuss books in an inclusive environment, and also hold mindfulness meditation activities such as Dhyana Tea, coffee, flower arrangement, Qigong exercise and Taichi mindfulness ball.
🧠 Our approach
Rooted in a Humanistic Buddhism perspective, we focus on practical insights that help you navigate modern life with greater awareness, understand the mind and emotions, and connect timeless Buddhist wisdom with everyday life. Whether you are new to Buddhist thought or already on a spiritual path, you are warmly welcome.

This is a free event proudly supported by Mindful Peace Adacemy— a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the wisdom of Buddhist Dharma and Chan (Zen)-inspired living in a modern world.
🌿 Whether you’re exploring mindfulness, curious about Buddhist wisdom or looking for a calm space to reflect, this session offers gentle guidance and practical insight for everyday life.

In this session, we will explore compassion, including

    • What Is Compassion?
    • The Practice of Compassion
    • The Transformative Role of Compassion in Psychotherapy

Many appreciate and admire the quality of compassion but hesitate to put it into practice. This reluctance stems from the belief that compassion involves sacrifice, giving, and the loss of personal interests. This is absolutely normal. We will discuss the challenges and benefits of compassion, and learn methods to grow it.

    🧘 Session Flow

    • A short guided body scan meditation to help us arrive and settle
    • Group reading (we read aloud in turns — optional participation)
    • A few minutes of silent reflection
    • Open sharing and discussion of insights, thoughts, and experiences.

Each person’s sharing helps deepen and broaden our understanding. You’re always welcome to simply listen and observe — no pressure to speak.
