Do Words Make us Sovereign?
Details
May's topic will be conducted by Bro. Laconia Koerner as she asks the question, "Do Words Make us Sovereign?"
Synopsis:
The special use of words is an essential part of keeping the secrets and mysteries of Freemasonry. In the familiar Bible verse: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1), the Word is synonymous with Logos, Christ, or spiritual man. According to the Metaphysical Bible Dictionary, “This spiritual man or Christ, the Word of God, is the true inner self of every individual. Man therefore contains within himself the capacities of Being, and through his words uses the creative principle of Divine Mind to create.” At the most recent World Economic Forum hosted on January 20, 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, Israeli historian, Yuval Noah Harari delivered a speech titled An Honest Conversation on AI and Humanity during which he stated, “If religion is built from words, then AI will take over religion,” concluding that AI will soon possess its own autonomy. If being human means to possess an inherent sovereignty through the Word of God, what does it mean to be AI in possession of the words of the world's religions? Join us for an exploration of the power of words in the context of Freemasonry, spirituality, and the AI tech revolution.
