## About this event

RSVP/Donation HERE!

Join Isma/Shema for a powerful night of poetry and personal storytelling with Amir Sommer, a Palestinian-Israeli poet and performer whose work speaks to the heart of identity, loss, and hope.
With roots in both Palestinian and Israeli heritage, Amir weaves together spoken word and lived experience, exploring what it means to grow up between worlds and to navigate the grief of war while still holding onto the possibility of peace. His words invite empathy, spark reflection, and remind us of our shared humanity.

This one-night-only event offers a rare opportunity to hear a perspective that’s often missing from mainstream conversations. Whether you come for the art, the dialogue, or the community, you’ll leave moved, challenged, and inspired.

About Amir Sommer:
Amir is a poet and storyteller whose work blends raw honesty with lyrical beauty. Drawing on his upbringing as the son of a Palestinian Arab father and an Israeli Jewish mother, he brings audiences into the complexity of his identity and the humanity at the center of the conflict.

About Isma/Shema:
Isma/Shema creates spaces for honest, compassionate dialogue about antisemitism, Islamophobia, and the issues that divide and unite us. We believe in the power of story to build understanding and connection.

Don’t miss this chance to hear Amir’s voice live in Los Angeles.
