Greetings and Welcome to Muslims for Progressive Values - Atlanta!
Muslims for Progressive Values is a faith-based, grassroots, human rights organization that embodies and advocates for the traditional Qur’anic values of social justice and equality for all, for the 21st Century.
In Atlanta, we seek to further our mission by providing various activities throughout the year.
Here are our current activities, but check back often for updates:
Friday Gathering - 1:30 pm - Candler Park/Edgewood area
Sunday Evening Zikr (Sufi Chanting in Remembrance of God) - 5:00 pm - Midtown Atlanta - We are joined by Sufi groups in the area. All are welcome.
Cobb Emergent Gathering (Interfaith/Atheist-Agnostic-Friendly) - 3rd Tuesday - 7:00pm - Marietta Square - We meet with the Cobb Gathering, which is a group of Christian and post-Christian people who ask questions about anything and everything. All are welcome.
January/February/March – Equality/Identity/Race; April – Earth and Environmental Justice/Science Awareness; June – LGBTQI Awareness; Fall – Annual Retreat; December – Human Rights/Interfaith Celebration; Ramadan - Iftars, Quran Study, Eid Celebration
Services Offered: Nikah, Chaplaincy, Eid prayers, Domestic Violence/Social Services Network
