Real-time Data from Devices in Excel with Data Streamer

In this session, we will discover a very little explored feature of Excel: the Data Streamer. With an Arduino board connected to a computer and some sensors, we can make data flow into Excel in real-time and get instant data insights.

Cristiano Galvao will be our guest speaker for this session and he will show us some application examples of this technology with great business potential for several industry areas and markets. He and his wife and business partner at GENECSIS, Ligia Galvao, even received an award recently, from a university in New York, in recognition of the business potential value of their project idea related to the Excel Data Streamer.

Cristiano Galvao is the founder of the Excel Weekend event in Brazil. He has an MBA in Management, Entrepreneurship and Marketing from PUCRS. He has a post-graduate degree in Business Management and IT, Bachelor in Informatics and Technician in Data Processing. He works as an IT Consultant in several areas (Business Analytics, Database Development, Custom Software Development, Information Management, Enterprise Content Management) where he applies his many skills, including knowledge in Excel, VBA, Python, SQL and BI.)
