Mastering Ranges: The Building Blocks of Excel
Details
In this session, we will look at the core Excel tool and helps understand how we can use ranges in a more dynamic way. Ranges are the building blocks of Excel, so having a solid understanding of what ranges are, their properties, how we can define them and how we can use them, can lead us to better formulas, charts, VBA and Power Query. In his presentation, Mark Proctor will cover various techniques, tips and tricks, and will also show us the pitfalls of some common methods implemented by users every day in the real world.
You will be surprised by the secrets hidden in ranges and the benefits we can extract from them if we know how to use those to our advantage.
When Mark Proctor was 7 years old, he told his parents that he wanted to become an accountant. Through either psychic abilities or lack of imagination, - Mark says - that’s exactly what happened.
Since his first day of work, Mark recognized the benefits of mastering Excel; after all, it is the accountant’s primary tool for manipulation, analysis, and presentation of data.
Now, almost 20 years later, Mark Proctor shares intermediate and advanced Excel techniques on his blog, "Excel Off The Grid," which he started in 2016 and has served many users around the world, helping them with finding a way to tackle a challenge in Excel either being with a formula, a piece of VBA code or many other excel features or tools.
