Halloween 2025: Spooky Commander Night

Welcome to our 2025 Halloween event. This is a fun night of spooky themed commander decks.

Theme
Only spooky tribes allowed: zombies, skeletons, spirits, goblins, vampires, horrors, rats, insects, werewolves, ooze, and similar. Get creative.

Unsure if your tribe works - ask here. We are flexible but want to emphasize fun. Example: slivers are kind of horrifying but very difficult to build them casual and fun in commander.

Format

• Casual Commander Bracket 2 (precon level), with respawn and point rules (details below).
• You earn a point for each person you knock out of the game in your pod.
• When you die, you respawn with the deck of your choice and take 4 turns in a bubble (no interacting with other players)
• Once a player knocks out 3 people, they are forced to respawn

Deck Rules

• No infinite combos
• No chaining extra turns
• Maximum of two board wipes
• No more than 3 tutors
• No mass land destruction
• Focus on fun, not hyper competitive play
• No game changers

Scoring and Prizes

• One point for each opponent you eliminate
• Top three winners receive booster packs
• Additional packs may be given for categories such as spookiest deck
• No entry fee, but donations of boosters are very welcome

This is a fun first event. Bring decks that match the Halloween theme, expect big swings and creative plays, and enjoy the night.
