_More information on the talks?
- *** The Current State of WebAuthN - The potential to get rid of one of the worst security issues: Passwords by Lucas Treffenstädt (TNG Technology Consulting GmbH) ***
WebAuthn is a standard for user authentication on the web with the potential to get rid of one of the worst security issues: passwords. Support for this technology has matured quite a bit over the past few years, but it is still rare to see it used in applications outside of large platforms.
We will have a look at how one can implement the user account lifecycle (registration - authentication - adding or replacing authenticators) with WebAuthn, using a Node.js application as an example.
We will discuss client support, pitfalls and the user experience currently provided on different devices.
- ***Understanding Mobile Network Security and Privacy Risks - How your cellphone can turn against you? by Reza Sharifi (CGI Germany) ***
Join us to uncover the hidden threats lurking in our everyday mobile communication.
In this talk, we will begin with an overview of typical modern network architecture, shedding lights on the various components and their roles.
Afterwards, we will explore key signalling protocols, highlighting potential vulnerabilites.
Through real-world scenarios, we will demonstrate how common activities can be intercepted and exploited.
