_More information on the talks?
- *** First talk - Government sponsored Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) - Lessons learned from Russian war against Ukraine by Oleg Sipaylo (Cloud security architect @Microsoft Germany) ***
Cyberattacks are no longer isolated events; they are used alongside conventional military operations. Governments increasingly fund and train cyber units to engage in offensive digital campaigns. Russia’s cyber activities targeting Ukraine and Western institutions exemplify how cyber tactics have become integral to military strategy.
Cyber actors have evolved from simple hacking attempts to using advanced techniques such as artificial intelligence-driven intrusion methods, ransomware campaigns, and exploiting critical software vulnerabilities to gain persistent access. Technical walk-through of some publicly available campaigns and perspective on Global Arms Race in Cyber Defense included.
@About Oleg: Cloud security architect with 15 year’s experience, 10 of them spent deep in SecOps. Cybersecurity engineer by design, and a dedicated threat hunter by passion. A staunch supporter of logical and independent thinking, more about substance than a form, volleyball fan/coach.
- *** Second talk - ***** by ****** (More information to follow shortly - stay tuned!) ***
