Fees
The organised walk is £15. This covers the cost of admin and organisation.
Mini bus - £40. This covers the running and hiring cost of the mini bus.
Meeting Location
By train - Ebbsfleet train station.
By car - Hikers making there own way via there own transport , we will meet at Birling car park Beachy Head Road BN20 0AB (parking fees apply)
By mini bus - Pick up and drop off at Ebbsfleet train station.
Walk Difficulty level
Moderate: There are a few steep hills and uneven terrain so please consider that.
The distance we will be trekking is approx 10 miles with an elevation of 468m. We will be walking at a slow steady pace. We should be back at the starting point at approx 6pm this includes stoppage time for breaks and refreshments.
Our canine friends
This walk is suitable for dogs, they will however need to be well behaved and have good recall because we will occasionally need to put them on leads. We will be walking along the cliff tops and a short part of the walk we'll be walking along country road. Large portion of the walk they will be fine to go off exploring and sniffing.
Children
Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for children under the age of 10 years.
Kit List
· Please dress per the weather
· Hiking boots with ankle support are recommended because the terrain can be uneven and if we've have wet weather it may be very muddy and slippery!
· Rucksack
· Waterproof jacket & trousers, water bottle & packed lunch
· Light snacks (although there is a shop at Birling Gap and toilets)
