The Orchards

This walk takes us through the picturesque orchards in Cobham and Sole Street, beginning with a walk through St Mary’s Madalene Church yard. From there, we enter the orchards, surrounded by rows of apple trees and, more recently, newly planted grapevines. As we continue, we cross a few railway lines, adding a touch of variety to the route, before looping back to St Mary’s Madalene to complete the journey. The terrain remains mostly flat, making it accessible for most walkers, but after rainfall, the paths can become quite muddy—especially if fruit pickers are working in the fields—so it’s important to wear suitable footwear.
