"Evidence of Previous Earth Civilizations​" with Mark Carlotto

Mark Carlotto is an engineer, scientist, and author with over four decades of experience in the aerospace industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and has published numerous technical papers and books. Best known for his research on the Face on Mars, UFOs/UAPs, and lost civilizations, Dr. Carlotto brings a rigorous scientific approach to unconventional questions.

His books span genres—science, history, technology, and the unexplained—uniting them with a common thread: a relentless curiosity and commitment to discovering the truth. Carlotto will present evidence that multiple advanced civilizations existed much earlier than previously believed, during the last ice age. This presentation challenges mainstream geoscience and climate models, offering an alternative view of Earth’s deep history and the cycles of civilization, catastrophe, and climate change.

Archaeologists once believed that ancient Sumer was where human history began around 4000 BCE. More recent discoveries in Turkey centered at Göbekli Tepe reset the time (and place) of our origin to around 10,000 BCE, thousands of years before Sumer. Now the widespread belief is that human history began in the eastern Mediterranean following the Younger Dryas, when agriculture, architecture, astronomy, and other practices that lie at the foundation of our current technological civilization
suddenly appeared, almost literally out of nowhere.

Building upon previous research, in the first part of the talk, he will present evidence supporting the idea that multiple advanced civilizations existed much earlier during the last ice age. Drawing inspiration from Charles Hapgood’s controversial crustal displacement theory, we will explore how shifts in Earth’s crust—not just plate tectonics or Milankovitch cycles—might explain glacial cycles, mass extinctions, and unexplained archaeological site alignments. Through analysis of ancient site orientations, climate data, and geological processes, a new and expanded theory of crustal displacements/pole shifts is described that involves an interplay between mantle convection and tidal forces, the same forces that move Earth’s oceans.

This work challenges mainstream geoscience and climate models, offering an alternative view of Earth’s deep history and the cycles of civilization, catastrophe, and climate change. The second part of the talk considers possible implications of this theory. Several archaeological case studies are presented that suggest the oldest sites are the hardest to explain, leading to questions of how they were built and by whom?
