MarkLogic User Group London: Adam Retter

Details
Summer has come and gone and, believe it or not, Christmas is almost here. Before we all dive headlong into the seasonal frenzy of shopping and Christmas dinners, let's pause and reflect with a relaxing MUGL.
The next MUGL is Wed Nov 25 at our usual venue of the Theodore Bullfrog Pub near Charing Cross.
This time around we have a returning favorite, Adam Retter, who will be doing a fun talk about XQuery and MarkLogic. Adam is a member of the W3C XQuery standards group and a committer on the open source eXist XML database. The working title of his talk is:
XQuery From The Trenches: Thoughts on best practice when writing XQuery for MarkLogic
Adam will discuss how XQuery on MarkLogic compares to other implementations out there and how to get the most out of it when writing XQuery code for MarkLogic. This should be an an enjoyable "war stories" presentation. If you have experiences you'd like to share, come along and join the fun.
As usual, try to arrive about 6:30 for drinks, food and mingling. Adam will start his talk around 7:00. Afterward, more drinks and mingling until they throw us out.
We're in the upstairs function room (stairs at the back of the pub). We have our own private bar. Drinks are free. Food is free. Come along and join us.
Please RSVP on the MeetUp site. We need to get a reasonably accurate head count to know how much food to order. There's never any danger of drinking running out.
See you there.
