Join us for a hands-on experience and discover the rich traditions of taonga tākaro—traditional Māori games that have been played and passed down through generations.

Led by Ness and Pita from Tū Mātau Ora, this interactive workshop invites participants to learn and play a selection of traditional Māori games, including Pōtaka, Poi Toa – Poi Patu, Poi Tauā, I Te Tīmatanga, and Tū Pūhatu.

More than just games, taonga tākaro carry stories, values, and mātauranga Māori, offering a meaningful way to experience te ao Māori through movement, teamwork, strategy, and play.
