Michael's family were refugees of the Vietnam war and through their hardship of not having a place called home until they came to the US, Michael at a very young age developed an interest and passion for real estate. At the age of 18, he started as a real estate agent to learn the business and after years of hard work founded LAM Development Group, a development & investment company involved in the acquisition, site infrastructure, land development, new construction, and ownership of multi-unit rental buildings, commercial, mixed-use, residential, and highway properties. What started as a passion and vision for real estate has grown into a family business to create better communities and contribute to a higher sense of living.

To date, LAM Development Group projects include the development, infrastructure, and building of 317 units in Crystal Springs Resort & Golf Course consisting of custom homes, townhomes, condos, and rentals directly on the golf course. A few other projects include a redevelopment plan subdivision of 209 golf homes and 140 townhomes development in Northern New Jersey. LAM Development Group is also development partners with Fortune 500 home builders, NVR and D.R. Horton. LAM Development Group’s goal is to diligently help parts of NJ become destinations with a better quality of life for families.

Michael is also the founder of Group Twenty Six Real Estate, a progressive real estate brokerage and coaching company created by agents for agents. As he started as a real estate agent, he went through the challenges of being an agent and envisioned creating an ideal team environment where real estate agents are happy, highly productive, and profitable by providing support and a culture that fosters growth and success. Group Twenty Six specializes in residential, commercial, luxury sales, and rentals and has offices and teams located in Edgewater, Jersey City, Nutley, Tenafly, Cranford, Sussex County, and New York. He also is the co-founder of the Group Twenty Six School of Real Estate which is licensed by the NJ Real Estate Commission to provide official NJ salesperson pre-licensing & broker real estate education.

In 2015, he received The Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award in Manhattan. Michael was a founding board director of AREAA (Asian Real Estate Association of America) North NJ Chapter. Mr. Lam received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Fordham University.
