Dr Ravi Tomar is helping customers in developing solutions for creating intelligent data pipelines. He has been an certified to teach instructor for Confluent and have trained 200+ engineers. His research interest lies in IoT, VANETs, Data Engineering and have authored 100+ research articles, authored 4 books and is always looking for new technologies to learn.

Stream Processing using Apache Flink and Confluent Cloud: What You Need to Know and How to Get Started

In this talk, you will learn about the fundamentals of Apache Flink and Flink SQL, and how Confluent Cloud simplifies and accelerates stream processing with Flink. You will also see a live demonstration of how to use Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink to run Flink SQL queries on real-world data streams and compare the process with open-source Apache Flink SQL. You will discover how Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink can help you build and deploy streaming applications faster and easier than ever before.

Kafka with Kraft & Real-time Data Pipelines with Kafka

Abstract:
In this topic, you will learn about the removal of zookeeper from Kafka and the introduction of KRaft. Also, we will discuss the benefits of using Kraft mode for new deployment. The real-time data pipelines with Kafka will cover challenges with ETL pipelines and how real-time CDC pipelines can be developed using Kafka.
