Agenda

  • 10:00 AM - Registrations
  • 10:15 AM - Introductions & Welcome Note
  • 10:25 AM - Session 1: Elastic universal profiling with eBPF
Speaker: Ashish Tiwari, Sr. Developer Advocate, Elastic

Join the talk for an in-depth exploration of eBPF (Extended Berkeley Packet Filter), a cutting-edge technology revolutionizing observability and security. This session will demonstrate how to leverage eBPF with Python to create powerful, efficient monitoring solutions. Our discussion will highlight the advantages of eBPF over traditional Monitoring system, focusing on its non-intrusive data collection and minimal performance impact.

  • 11:00 AM - Session 2: From field sensor to a real time dashboard
Speaker: Diptiman R, Staff Developer Advocate, Confluent

Monitoring device anomaly requires real-time data pipelines pushing data perpetually and insights which needs to be refreshed real-time.

Join this session, to learn how real time device insights are generated using a serverless streaming data and insights pipeline using Confluent Cloud and Elastic Cloud using a combination of frameworks such as Kafka, Flink SQL, Kafka Connect, Elasticsearch Index and Kibana dashboards.

This session would also demonstrate a real world use case of how IoT sensor device data enriched by Flink SQL is used to build a real time dashboard with Kibana.

  • 11:35 AM - Session 3: Dashboards are dead! Or are they?
Speaker: Sameer Mhaisekar, Developer Advocate, SquaredUp

In the recent times, there has been a sentiment of how with more complex, evolving technologies the dashboards with their simplistic data display capabilities have been becoming - for the lack of a better word - useless. We'll investigate this claim at its root and find out the real problem. Maybe the dashboards aren't actually dead, but do need to evolve with recent times?

  • 12:10 PM - Session 4: Open Source Observability solutions in AWS with Open Telemetry
Speaker: Zameer Fouzan, Lead Developer Relations Engineer, New Relic
  • 12:15 PM - 12:40 PM - Impromptu Q&A/Quiz on Observability
  • 01:30 PM - 2:00 PM - Networking & Snacks/Lunch
