Talk:
MCP Server for Kafka

Abstract:
This talk will introduce you to MCP Server and its role in the Agentic world. We will then specifically look into MCP Server for Kafka, how you can integrate it and a hands-on demonstrating an open source MCP server interacting with Kafka. With MCP Server for Kafka, not only can you query the existing Kafka cluster details, but also take actions like creating a topic and producing message to a topic.

Talk:
Exactly Once Semantics in Kafka

Abstract:
Exactly-once semantics (EOS) in Kafka ensure that messages are processed once and only once, even when failures occur. Kafka achieves this by combining idempotent producers (which prevent duplicate writes) with transactions (which atomically commit a batch of writes across topics and partitions). With EOS enabled, consumers see only committed data, eliminating duplicates and partial writes and making end-to-end, failure-safe stream processing possible.

Talk:
Q for Kafka

Abstract:
Queues for Kafka (QFK) is a simpler way to use Kafka for everyday queue-style work. In this talk, you’ll learn when QFK makes sense, how it helps teams spread work across many consumers without overthinking partitions, and how it smooths out traffic spikes and long-running tasks. We’ll keep it practical with a quick demo, tips on getting started, and more so you leave knowing how to apply QFK to real projects and avoid common pitfalls.
