Interactive session on Global Fiction and Poetry

Interactive session on Global Fiction and Poetry

Details

Hi all,

I am the Assistant Managing Editor of a literary magazine called The Bombay Review. This is an online bi-monthly magazine based out of New York and Bombay, and has a readership base in 120 countries. We are soon to launch our second anthology of short stories and poetry, which contains the best submissions sent to us over the past year, including works of writers from 31 countries.

We want to reach out to the community of bibliophiles and aspiring writers in Bombay, as we aspire to make literature, including global literature, as freely accessible as possible, to generate an ecosystem of learning. We are launching our second book at this meet-up, along with a panel discussion titled 'The Politics of Poetry: Identity as a Variable in the Poetic Imagination', and most interestingly, an interactive session with readings and exercises on what writings from different countries can be like, called 'A Globe Full of Stories'. This promises to be a lot of fun, where you will meet like-minded people and get in touch with the fiction and poetry editors of our magazine who will tell you better, what you should look at when you submit your works to international literary journals. Anju Makhija, one of the most renowned writers based in Mumbai, has already agreed to be a panelist at this session. Hope to see as many of you as possible!

To get in touch with me for more details, you can drop me a mail at mansi.thebombayreview@gmail.com. Do check out our website- https://thebombayreview.com/
