Dear fellow cooks:

Our next dinner will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Here´s the menu:

Aperitif with amuse-gueule
Prawns with tomatoes, olives and Arak
Caramelized Fennel with goat´s curd
Safran honey chicken with Hazelnuts
Orange almond cake
coffee

As of today (Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018) the cooking team consists of the following members.

This means that four seats are still free. Please only register for this event if you have met me in person during one of our pre-dinner meetups and please make your payment asap after registering to secure your seat. You may cancel your registration anytime but please note that your payment is non-refundable unless our dinner is cancelled by the organizer, so you should only register if you are eligible to join a dinner and sure that you can attend. If you must cancel your registration, you may transfer your seat to another member who attended a pre-dinner meetup and has met me in person. For more detailed information how to proceed in this case, please read the FAQ below. If you experience any problem with your registration for this event, please contact me by sending me a message.

FAQ:

How does it all work out?

All seats for our dinner will be allotted to members who attended a pre-dinner meeting and paid their share of costs with paypal.

Once the maximum number of cooks is reached, I will close the registration and all participants will receive the address where the dinner will be held. I will also post a message here once the maximum of 8 paying members has been reached and no more applications are accepted.

Who can attend? Anyone with a passion for food and cooking who attended a previous get-together and paid his share of costs before the maximum number of cooks is reached. Your skill level is unimportant, but you should not attend if you do not cook yourself and have no interest in preparing tasty food or if you just caught a contagious disease like the flu. If you are an expat from another planet, you are particularly welcome if you met me in person during a pre-dinner meetup, but true locals are welcome just the same.

Why are payments non-refundable?

Because I am organizing this on a cost basis in my spare time and shop all the groceries the day before the dinner takes place I need you to make a commitment and hope for your understanding. If you make a reservation in a decent restaurant and don´t show up, the owner will ask you to pay for your table all the same.

What do we cook?

Anything goes but we will not have vegan or entirely vegetarian menus, so be prepared to have some fish, meat, poultry, veggies and anything else that is edible and tasty.

Do I need to bring anything? Yes: Just yourself.

Can I suggest a menu? Yes, absolutely. If you wish to set up a dinner with at least two (better 3) courses, please get in touch with me here on meetup or by email (you will get my email address once you attended one of our pre-dinner meetups and registered for a dinner). I will get back to you asap then. If you become the chef, you will be responsible for instructing all participants on how to prepare all dishes for your dinner which will still take place in my kitchen.

I can´t attend – What do I need to do?

If you registered for a dinner but made no payment yet, simply cancel your registration here on meetup so that other members can take your seat. If you already made your payment, please write me a message to let me know if another eligible member wishes to take your seat and who it is. We will put your substitute on the guest list then.
