Details
Dear Frontiers,
I am happy to announce our next FrontMuc meetup happening on February 7th at the amazing office of adesso SE, Munich HQ.
As usual, we start by welcoming everyone from 18:30 to 19:00, and then the talks begin. It will be an On-Site event only.
19:05 - 19:10 Welcome words
19:15 Talk 1:
Sandra Ehrig, Lead UX designer at adesso
Title: "5 moments from project hell and how we got out of it together"
Intro: This talk is about the collaboration of UX- UI Designers and Frontend Developers within our projects at adesso. Delve into the challenges faced, unravel the strategies employed, and discover the collaborative spirit that ultimately led to triumph. Join me as we navigate the twists and turns of project adversity, offering insights and valuable lessons learned along the way. This talk is a testament to resilience, teamwork, and the unwavering commitment to turning project challenges into opportunities for growth and success.
Sandra is a Lead UX designer with a focus on user research, user experience conception and workshop management. Since 2017, she has been entrusted with tasks in the field of conception and design of software, products and digital experiences (desktop and mobile) as well as customer consulting.
19:45 Talk 2:
Jacob Groß, Senior Performance Engineer @Framer
Title: What React 18 does and how it impacts your INP
Intro: React 18 brought new utilities, such as useTransition, startTransition and improved "Suspense". As we're coming closer to March, when the new Core WebVital INP is replacing FID, it's more important than ever to know about the ways React can help you to make your app more performant. In this talk, we're taking a look on what React 18 does different compared to React 17 (hint: concurrent mode) - and how *you* can implement these new utilities in your app with a practical example. Bonus: If you don't write React, I'll also leave a few breadcrumbs on how to improve your INP outside of the React world.
