Details
We take the train to Rosenheim and the bus 493 to the Hochriesbahn parking at Grainbach. From there we hike on our route via the Schwarzer See up to the Hochries summit and return to Grainbach.
I often check the Hochries webcam to see if the weather is good once you get some altitude, you can send this to friends, they will be able to see you there.
Sunday 8 November 2026 is the last day of the bus 493 summer timetable (MVV timetable).
If you join by train, I assume you to have a Deutschland-Ticket.
