• 19:40 - 20:10 Kafka Tiered Storage - why and how?
• This talk will define the scalability problems of the pre-3.6 Kafka and showcase the benefits of the Tiered storage for Kafka users. We'll then delve into the details on how tiered storage is composed and the challenges that we faced when building the initial plugin for AWS S3 and Google Cloud Storage. If you're using Apache Kafka and want to understand how tiered storage could increase your scaling opportunities while, at the same time, reducing costs, this talk is for you.
