Hirschgarten to Buchenhain Circular

This week we will be heading south from the west side of Munich. Please note that the S-BAHN STAMMSTRECKE IS CLOSED this weekend, so you won't be able to use the S-Bahn to get to the meeting point. We'll meet at the junction of Schloßschmidstraße and Wilhelm-Hale-Straße, on the north side of the Friedenheimer Bridge and head off around Schloss Nymphenburg. We then head south to Krailing for our first stop. Then it's on through Forstenrieder Park, keeping our eyes open for the wild pigs that reside there, arriving at the Biergarden at Buchenhain for lunch. If any of you have vouchers from the Munich Biergarten Guide you can use one here. After lunch we head through the Perlacher forest to Munich and have a final stop in the famous Hirschgarten beer garden. The total distance should be about 50km. The weather forecast is ok, but we may get some rain so bring appropriate clothing. As always you will probably need cash not cards for your refreshments and we do recommend you wear a helmet.
